Artists have always negotiated different modes of perception and are the perfect "soft agitators" to draw attention to current social issues. As long as they reach visitors on a personal level, they can be picked up and subsequently question aspects of their world view. The exhibition unites different artistic positions, inviting viewers to actively participate in creating a "new future".

Pallay Pampa is a Quechua expression which describes the different areas of weave on Andean textiles: Pallay symbolises what is said, while Pampa symbolises the unsaid. The exhibition brings together artists and interdisciplinary researchers from Peru to reflect critically on the cultural contributions by Andean communities in the current context, given the many consequences of globalization and colonization.

At Haus am Waldsee, we have been delighted by Cragg‘s presence in the sculpture park for years. The sculptor rarely appears as a draughtsman. The exhibition shows works on paper from all creative periods since the 1980s and is complemented by selected sculptures. Cragg consistently makes micro- and macrocosmic transformations visible.

Human suffering, sensual fragility and defenceless creatures are pivotal themes in the work of the Berlin-born sculptor and printmaker Louise Stomps (1900–1988). After training at the Prussian Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin and attending a sculpture class given by Milly Steger at the Berlin Association of Women Artists, she had her own studio from 1930.

One could speak of a renaissance of romanticism. Dark forests, barren and deserted landscapes are the favorite motifs of the Romantics, their settings are often cemeteries and ruins, the atmosphere depicted is magical, often eerie. The painters gathered in this group exhibition share many of these preferences.
