Galerie Michael Haas was founded in Berlin in 1976. The gallery's work is dedicated to modern art, German and international art after 1945 and contemporary art. Both in the art trade with works by established artists and in the presentation of young artists, the focus is on the genres of painting, sculpture and works on paper. Galerie Michael Haas is regularly represented at international art fairs such as Art Basel, Art Cologne and TEFAF.

Louise Nevelson (1899-1988) used everyday materials to sculpt and paint monochromatic – mostly black – assemblages of which she considered herself to be an extension. Inspired by Alexander Calder and his works George Warren Rickey (1907-2002) became one of the most important representatives of kinetic sculpture. Galerie Michael Haas will show kinetic, indoor and outdoor, wall and ceiling sculptures as well as prints and collages of the artists.
